Oi, tudo bem?

Kiaora! I just came back from another day walking around São Paulo with Beth and Fabiana. We went to a kind of craft fair at the japanese neighbourhood, a place where you can buy a whole sore of things from japanese stuff till clothes and the best part, food! I think the most exciting thing in this holiday is the huge number of dishes that I really missed in past 3 years. The food there is very good specially the japanese tempura!
From there we went by subway to the São Paulo´s post card, Avenida Paulista or Paulista Avenue. It is the city´s business and comercial centre, full of high buildings and modern shops and malls. In the end of the avenue it´s the friendly region of the city with lots of gay bars and night clubs. It´s the place to go for a booggie and something else lol.
The Center 3 Mall has a design and clothe´s fair and there we went. It was interesting to be surrounded by so many gay guys, once I am not single anymore it made me feel quite confident! Hehehe. São Paulo is more friendly than never and I could see a few couples walking around holding hands. Cool!
I didn´t buy anything but I am still looking for some more special gifts to some special friends.
About last night...Angelica, Beth and I went out for a Salsa night!
The place is called Rey Castro and it has live latin music with The Oficina Latina Band. The place was packed! The beer was shit! The band was great when played real salsa. The night was fun and we never got home till 6am!
Photos of Rey Castro and the japanese fair very soon.

Updates.

Kiwi Boy went shopping and almost got crazy trying to find gifts to everybody!!!
He has a few more things to buy and he is quite happy with the money he spent at this point.
He is organizing a couple of days at the beach with Beth even with the forecast not looking good at the moment. But who cares?!?
On saturday (tomorrow) the whole family is coming over for a BBQ. It's the final chance for the family to catch up with him and he is quite glad with that hehe.
Eli and Blair left Brazil yesterday and must be in New Zealand already, Blair felt in love with the brazilian weather, beaches and food, not surprised! Eli couldn't wait to go back to work hahaha.
Kiwi Boy dosen't want to go back to work!!! He misses Nathan and the kiwi family and friends a lot but going back to NZ means go back to work too! Meah!
In this post photos of a friend's meeting, Camila and Ana from Uni, Fabiana at the municipal market and the busiest shopping street in Brazil! Rua 25 de Março!

Gidday Mate!

I have to start saying that I miss Nathan like a total crazy!
The holiday hasn't been as busy as I thought, apart from the cults at the temple wich has been taking a lot of my time. No complains about it.
I will never get over the crazy traffic, everytime I go out by bus or car it's just terrible. I can not stand the way how my people drives!!! Shame on us brazilians!
The food...oh the food...I will arrive in New Zealand with a few more pounds than the day I left lol. Never mind, at least I am enjoying one of the best things in life!
I have got some sad news from NZ and I am glad now that the worse is gone and someone that I love a lot is safe and healthy again. It was scarry and I don't want to feel like it never again! Love you Alana!
No photos in this post sorry..I have been hopeless with my camera...just because I am home so I don't realize that would be nice to take simple, day by day photos to show to my kiwi family...I will do something about it.

Kiaora Aotearoa!

I have been in Brazil for a whole week now. Today is Independence Day, it´s very hot as we are cooking our heads under a 25 degrees sun!
I am having a good time so far, eating well, sleeping about 6 hours per night and enjoying my family and friend´s company.
As soon as I arrived I could smell the very strong and stinky polution, the caotic traffic and realise how bad we brazilians drive!!! Sometimes I feel like I am in Asia where the traffic has no rules and people just do whatever they want! Oh well...
The food has the same delicious flavour and the beer is just perfect, my friends are still trying to understand why I get so excited about these simple things heheh, never mind.
Eli and Blair came home to spend the night and I could practice some english wich is good and hear from Blair his experiences in the land of samba.
I didn´t go shopping yet because it´s boring to do it by yourself, so my sister and I might go next week.
Brazil is so far the same bloody crazy place, I am not sure if I would find my place back in the society and definetly it´s the people I love the only reason to come back.
It´s sad to say something like it and I don´t say it in front of anybody, I hate the feeling of sounding snob or that I am better than anyone because I live overseas.
I don´t miss home (NZ) either!!! Hahahaha! Apart from Mr BE and the little kiwis!!!
In this post, photos of the sunrise in Andes, Chile and from the municipal market in São Paulo.
